CHOPSTICK 箸 – A Spatial Dialogue by AIM Architecture

For Milan Design Week 2026, AIM Architecture designed the spatial experience for CHOPSTICK 箸, the inaugural exhibition by S—3 (@s3.site) curated by Yoko Choy (@missyoko).

Centered around one of the oldest and most universal objects in human history, the chopstick,  the exhibition brought together 16 creatives from China, Japan, and Korea to reinterpret its form, rituals, and cultural meaning through contemporary design.

Our spatial concept drew inspiration from Confucian principles of harmony, mutual respect, and interdependence, exploring how relationships between objects, people, and space can create balance through collective presence rather than individuality.

We’re back on AD100 China for the 7th year in a row! A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, clients, collaborators, dreamers, and doers.

This year, Cotton Park is taking the spotlight. A project that is more than just architecture. It is a living piece of the city, where nature, people, and culture meet in new and unexpected ways. We are proud, we are grateful, and we are just getting started!

In the feature, we talk about how we approach architecture: not just as buildings, but as a way to spark life, culture, and connection in cities. From transforming flagship stores into vibrant public spaces to giving forgotten industrial sites a new purpose, our work is always about creating places that feel alive and meaningful.

The article also highlights how our projects across Asia and Europe are all driven by one simple idea: design should always start with people and the life around them.

This project is a testament to how urban regeneration can transform forgotten industrial sites into vibrant, meaningful places, creating new layers of life where culture, leisure, and nature intersect. We believe projects like this show how architecture can elevate cities and create positive social impact, turning underused spaces into catalysts for connection and community.
