Presented during Antwerp Design Week and Antwerp Fashion Festival at 12Antwerp, The Hall is a collective exhibition bringing together designers, artists, makers, and cultural voices across disciplines and geographies. The Hall operates as a collective arena, bringing together ideas, disciplines, and identities in a dynamic exchange where positions are tested and renegotiated. Conceived as a fragmented, immersive landscape, The Hall gathers furniture, fashion, jewelry, textiles, collectible design, art pieces, and experimental works into a single spatial conversation. A chair may confront a sculpture. A fashion piece may behave like architecture. Jewelry may exist as a political statement rather than ornament. Rather than presenting creativity through isolated categories, The Hall embraces friction, density, and unexpected proximity. The project intentionally blurs boundaries between disciplines that too often evolve separately - despite responding to the same cultural anxieties, desires, and transformations shaping contemporary life. The result is neither showroom nor conventional exhibition, but a collective environment suspended somewhere between installation, salon, cultural forum, and social experiment. Here, objects become carriers of ideology, identity, craftsmanship, and speculation.

Yoko Choy is a design journalist and creative consultant whose work centres on cross-cultural exchange. As China Editor of Wallpaper* magazine, she moves between Hong Kong and Amsterdam, bridging Eastern and Western perspectives through design, art, and culture. She collaborates with global brands and institutions including Assouline, Art Basel, Beijing Design Week, Hermès, and Louis Vuitton, and regularly serves on juries and speaks at international design events and conferences.
